Where are you now?
Are you feeling overwhelmed? Are there things you're having trouble talking about with your friends or family? Counselling may be part of what you need right now. Any time we go through challenging times, it's helpful to have that support and professional guidance that we don't always get from our every day lives.
How counselling can help?
Counselling can help with an array of problems and challenges. The focus of our sessions are based on you and what you're facing. It's a time that is devoted to helping you gain clarity, self-awareness and compassion towards yourself and help you in your every day life. It's a confidential and safe space to talk about you, your goals and how we can work together to further your personal development.
How do I know if you are the right therapist for me?
Because the right fit is important, I offer a free 15 minute online video consultation to hear about what you're experiencing and get a sense about how we can work together. Please feel free to reach out and take that first step for yourself.
How long will the counselling process take?
It depends on what issues and challenges you are facing, along with the frequency of our sessions. Weekly sessions are most common. It can be short-term or long-term. Active participation in sessions, following up with tools that are to be done outside of our sessions together will help the process in a rich and dynamic way. For example, perhaps reading a book that's pertinent to what you're dealing with, journalling on topics, taking action and accepting personal responsibility for your goals will aid the counselling process in a beneficial way.
